A year of great successes and awards for Better Corporation Service. Within a few months, 2025 has brought the Parma-based company, a rising star in the construction sector, three prestigious awards that have certified the solidity of a path built in less than four years. In March, in Maranello, the company was selected by Industria Felix as one of the 70 best companies in the North-West for management performance and financial solidity. In October, at the Campidoglio palace in Rome, it joined the select group of the 94 best Italian companies that have distinguished themselves for their work in accordance with ESG criteria. Finally, in December, in Parma, Better Corporation Service was included among the Top 1000 companies in the area. These awards were not assigned on the basis of nominations, but were the result of an analysis of thousands of financial statements, which turned the spotlight on a young but already well-structured business.
“Better Corporation Service was founded in 2021 on the initiative of a group of entrepreneurs who, although they did not have extensive experience in the construction sector, were driven by a strong desire to revolutionise the world of construction by developing a business model that was radically different from the traditional one,” says Gaetano Caliendo, the company’s General Manager. “We are talking about a project based on expertise, direct responsibility and total integration of services, a structure capable of overcoming the typical critical issues of an often fragmented sector. Even then, we knew that it would be unique in the sector and that it would not be easy to launch such an ambitious initiative, but we were also convinced of the validity of our intuition and decided to go ahead. Fortunately, the results achieved have proven us right.”
From the outset, the company chose to go against the grain: it renounced any form of subcontracting and positioned itself as a single contractor for the construction market and its related industries. All activities – construction, electrical and plumbing systems, technical design and operational management – are carried out exclusively by internal staff, hired directly by Better Corporation Service. Today, the workforce numbers over 60 employees, all part of a centralised structure that allows for real control over quality, timing, costs and responsibilities. “Being the sole contractor for all integrated services allows us to follow each contract from start to finish, without intermediate steps or operational dispersion,” explains the CEO. “Coordination is based on direct dialogue with all players, a functional solution that guarantees efficiency, precision and strict adherence to deadlines. Not a ‘turnkey’ solution as it is often understood, but a truly comprehensive, verifiable and measurable service.”
It is precisely this organisational model that forms the basis of corporate sustainability. For Better Corporation Service, the ESG approach is not a label, but the natural consequence of a transparent management. Centralised governance, the absence of subcontracting and direct responsibility for every stage of the process generate concrete benefits not only economically, but also socially and environmentally. “From an environmental point of view, we use materials that comply with the most advanced standards and have already embarked on a structured path towards the preparation of a sustainability report,” says Caliendo. “A prime example is the construction of a building, in Parma, insulated over 9,000 square metres exclusively with glass wool: a highly ecological mineral material, chosen to significantly reduce the overall environmental impact of the project. Design choices that translate ESG principles into concrete technical solutions.”
The soundness of the model is also confirmed by the certifications obtained: ISO for quality, environment and safety, SOA for public procurement management, ESCO for projects related to renewable energy sources. A set of certifications that allows the company to operate even in the complicated context of public administration, complying with the standards required by institutional bodies and aligning itself with national and international parameters of reliability and transparency.
In just a few years, Better Corporation Service has built up a strong presence in the region: two offices in Parma, one in Milan, one in Massa and a new office scheduled to open in Livorno in early 2026, alongside a production facility in Romania, which is wholly owned and directly managed. The goal is clear: to open a new office every year, replicating an organisational model that has already proven to work. “Today, the company does not consider the results achieved as a goal, but as a solid foundation from which to start,” concludes the General Manager. “Ultimately, the choice is made by the customer, who is called upon to recognise the value of an approach that combines integration, sustainability and reliability. The history of Better Corporation Service shows that even in a traditional sector such as construction, clear ideas, strategic vision and determination can give rise, starting from scratch, to a medium-large, credible and internationally recognised structure. An example of new Italian entrepreneurship that grows without shortcuts, focusing on responsibility, competence and results.”
